48 Hours

Here’s a short film some friends and I did back at the start of august for the Seattle 48 hour film festival.

Our requirements were as follows:

Genre: Creature Feature
Prop: Flyswatter
Character: Darin/Dana Stumme, Massage Therapist
Dialogue: “No way, Never again.”

All in all this was one of the craziest shoots I’ve ever worked on. In a nutshell, we thought we had a great location, after shooting most of the day there, it became very clear that that was not the case. It turned out that the “unlisted bed and breakfast” was actually one of the compounds for Ramtha’s School of Enlightenment. We ended up scraping the vast majority of the day to just get away from the drunk and very aggressive folk who lived there. That cost us one of the two days we had. All of the interior day scenes were shot between 11pm and 4am. All in all, it was definitely a bonding experience.
