Bike Night @ Mill Creek

It’s been very busy lately. But amidst the general chaos of living in the 21st century, I’ve managed to built a couple projects. This is from a fun monthly event that has just taken on the name “Bike Night.” For 5 hours, on the first Friday of every month, the Mill Creek Skate Park goes from skateboards only, to bikes only.

If you’re interested in the music, it’s from Human Pyramids! It’s a fantastic 3 track demo that can be found right here!

The slow mo was shot on an Sony FS700, the time lapse on a Cannon 30d, and everything else on a Cannon 7d!
Editing was all done in Premiere Pro CS6 and the type was set in Illustrator.

Look for more fun stuff soon!

Weekly Find 13/3/1

I did weekly finds for a little while in the past. So here’s the revitalization of that! Every Friday I’ll post the best thing (Usually video) that I have found all week.

To start it off, here’s a fantastically animated music video animated by the same folks who did Super Jail! I found this while link chasing on youtube.

Band: The M Machine

Song: Tiny Anthem

Reignwolf in the Neptune

This is the first time I ever brought my camera to a show. let alone a show that I was so excited for. I went down to Seattle a couple hours early to buy tickets and get a drink before the show. At the first bar I realized that I had forgot my CF card in my computer from my last photo dump. This resulted in about 10 minutes of palm to forehead before I realized that I had a back up hidden in my camera bag just for the event of my forgetting my card. So The night commenced!

It was a fairly full house at the Neptune

The opening band was one of my favorites. The Grizzled Mighty. When they took the stage they were nothing short of awesome, I would have made the trip down just to see them, but to get to see them with Reignwolf, MMMMMMMM…. delicious.

Plus the lighting was very cool as well

If you’ve never heard them beforeĀ

And they can be downloaded here!

The second act was The Young Evils. I didn’t get to many photos of these guys, as I was distracted by the popcorn I was inserting into my face.

This photo sorta looks like its from an 80’s highschool movie

And finally the headliner. Reignwolf. If you haven’t heard him before, Please, please, listen. He is yet to put out an album, but he is already dominating the Seattle music scene with his skills.

He makes magic and fills the entire stage with his presence

It’s impressive that Phil Collins can sing and drum. That’s hard work. Reignwolf however, shreds the guitar with one hand using the feedback and drums with the other hand.

Naturally I took the picture just after he threw down the drumstick…
And one final photo

All in all, Amazing. Flat out. If you ever get the chance, see him in concert. You won’t regret it.

Word puzzle!

This is a puzzle test. The for the first to get it, I will illustrate anything of their choosing to the best of my ability! You can all work together.
Your hints are language and games. And it is a lyric from a well known band.

This probably won’t get a single hit because I’m posting it at 3AM west coast time

Find of the week 4/6/12 / Is Tropical – The Greeks

I spend a good bit of time browsing the internet for little nuggets of gold. But there’s almost always one that stands out much more than all others. As of now, I’ll start sharing the best thing that I find during the week every Friday. Why Fridays you ask? At my last job, we would finish every Friday with a video to end the work week and greet the weekend. Now you all can too (without having to dig through the internet yourself)

That being said, this is one of the best music videos that I’ve ever seen. It’s very funny, with just enough sentimentality that it’ll stick with you. Enjoy!
